- How long does it take to build a new home?- At Hardesty Homes, the timeline to build your new home depends on several factors—such as the size and complexity of the design, site conditions, permitting timelines, weather, and the level of customization you choose. - On average, most custom homes take between 8 to 14 months from the time construction begins to move-in day. The design and preconstruction phase—which includes architectural planning, selections, budgeting, and permitting—typically adds a few additional months before breaking ground. - We believe that quality craftsmanship takes time. - What warranty do you offer on new homes?- At Hardesty Homes, we proudly stand behind every home we build. Your new home is protected by a comprehensive builder warranty that gives you peace of mind long after move-in day. - Our warranty program covers your home against possible deficiencies that exceed the standards established by the Home Builders Association of Greater St. Louis Industry Standards Manual (you’ll receive a copy at closing). - Here’s what’s included: 
 - 1-Year Coverage – Protection against defects in workmanship and materials.
- Major Systems Coverage – Plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
- Structural Elements – Coverage for major structural components of your home.
- Two scheduled warranty walk-throughs, first at 2 months and again at 11 months.
